Yarn bowl with Grape Hyacinths
Yarn bowl with Grape Hyacinths
JaMpdx yarn bowls are made by potters who also knit and crochet, so we've put a lot of thought into getting the design just right for other crafters. The removable lid means that you can keep your yarn safe and contained, and pet resistant as well (mileage may vary depending on your pets).
Porcelain bowl and lid are decorated with flowers- some that were piped on using cake-decorating tools and techniques--just like what you would find on a cake, and others are painted with underglaze paints. The glazes that we formulate are colorful, transparent, and get darker when they pool around the piping decoration. The cut-out curving swirl will guide your yarn out of the bowl, and you can put your needles in the small holes when you are taking a break. Plus, an added bonus of JaMpdx yarn bowls is that you can use the bowl for anything (soup and ice cream come to mind) when you're between projects.
The Grape Hyacinth design features a piped design, glazed in Smoke with Violet and Spring Pea touches on the blossoms and stems
Look for matching bud vases and mugs in our Spring Flowers collection to make a beautiful set—perfect for a special gift, or to start your collection!
The bowl by itself measures 5 1/2" across and 3 1/2" tall, and with the lid on the yarn bowl measures 6 1/4" across and 5" tall.
The smaller holes will fit up to size US7 knitting needles, and the large ones up to size US10 needles. The yarn shown here is 100 grams/420 yards of sock yarn--you can see it's an easy fit. We do not recommend threading your yarn through the holes, because then you’re committed to using the bowl until you cut your yarn, but as EZ would say, you are the boss of your own knitting!
