We combined two of our favorite designs, the french butter keeper with the Bees in Winter decoration, into one gloriously ornate piece for your kitchen!

This is a truly ingenious design for keeping butter on the counter fresh and spreadable. The French butter keeper is a two-part design: the butter is pressed into the bell, which is then inverted in the bowl. Put about an inch of cold water into the bowl, and the inverted bell will displace the water and form an airtight seal. Change the water every three days (or as needed) to keep your butter fresh. In the summer, try adding an ice cube every day to keep it colder.

Due to the gold and mother of pearl lusters, this piece is not dishwasher or microwave safe. Handwash only, and if you really need to heat the butter in the dish, use warm water rather than the microwave.
