Join us for a fun holiday event where you can make your own porcelain ornament! This 30-minute workshop will guide you through painting and adding baubles to a porcelain ornament, giving it your own personal flair. We will fire your ornaments in our kiln and they’ll be ready for pickup within two weeks.

This class is held at our store, Glaze, located at 7821 SE Stark St., Portland, OR 97215.

This workshop is suitable for adults and kids ages 5 and up. (For kids under 14, parental participation and supervision is required; both adult and child must register and pay for the class.)

This process is done on dry, unfired clay, and each piece is as fragile as a cookie! Come prepared to be VERY CAREFUL handling your piece! Parents, if you feel that your child is not suited to handling a piece in that state, please email us at least one week in advance and we can have your child's ornament bisque-fired before the workshop. It does limit some of the decoration possibilities, but it's safer for handling!

• 30-minute workshop

• Workshops will be held on Sunday, November 30th from 11am-11:30am, Saturday December 6th from 11am-11:30am, and Sunday December 7th from 11am-11:30am.

• Limited to 4 people per class. Cut off for signing up will be 5 days before the workshop.

• Each participant will get all the supplies needed to make one ornament. If you’re super speedy and have time to make additional ornaments, they can be added on for $10/ornament.

• Clay and glaze materials are lead-free and non-toxic when fully fired. There is no irritation from skin contact, but do not put any of it in your mouth during the class.

• Cost: $35 per person.
