Join us for an in-depth workshop where you will learn basic and intermediate clay piping skills and decorate a bud vase! This 2.5-hour workshop will build on skills learned in the morning session. We will guide you through mixing clay into a piping consistency, using cake decorating tools to pipe lines, swirls and flowers, and putting your new skills to use by decorating a JaMpdx wheel thrown bud vase. We’ll also cover layout design concepts and finishing touches. We will glaze your finished piece in the color of your choice and it will be ready for pickup two weeks after the workshop.

Piping on the side of a pot is harder than on a flat surface, so this workshop is recommended for adults who want to dive into this technique, and either have some piping experience or take the morning workshop. We believe you will be happier with your results if you take both sessions, but for those with frosting or slip trailing experience, this will be good skill building.

Details:

• 2.5-hour workshop

• Workshops will be held Saturday January 11th, 1:30-4pm and Sunday January 12th, 1:30-4pm.

• All supplies and materials are provided.

• Clay and glaze materials are lead-free and non-toxic when fully fired. There is no irritation from skin contact, but do not put any of it in your mouth during the class.

• Limited to 4 people per class. We reserve the right to cancel the workshop if we don’t get enough sign ups.
